Who we are

Velocity Edge is a trading name of Darkwave Trading Limited, a New Zealand company, company number 8717546. We are responsible for your information under the Privacy Act 2020. You can reach us at hello@velocityedge.io.

What we collect, and why

When you send an enquiry: your name, work email, company and what you write. We use it only to reply to you and, if we work together, to run the engagement. The public pages set no cookies and run no analytics or advertising. You do not have to give us these details: without them we cannot reply to an enquiry, and you can email us instead.

Where it is held

Enquiries are kept in HubSpot, our customer records system, outside New Zealand, in Australia. HubSpot is bound by its contract with us to protect them.

How long we keep it

An enquiry that does not become an engagement is kept for two years and then deleted. A client’s records are kept for the life of the relationship and then seven years, as New Zealand tax law requires.

Server logs

Our server records each request: the network address it came from, the page and the time. The logs are kept for 30 days, used only to keep the site running and secure, including limiting how many enquiries one address can send in an hour, and then deleted. A submission our spam check rejects is discarded and never stored.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email hello@velocityedge.io. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
